Yes, the camera’s on!’: Two Liverpool goalkeepers one-up each other with incredible saves in training

Two Liverpool goalkeepers impressed in the Reds’ latest Inside Training video. There’s a lot of talent between the sticks at Kirkby.

Liverpool put out their latest Inside Training video on Thursday and it gave a chance for the goalkeepers to shine. Though, it does appear that Alisson Becker had the day off.

But the goalkeepers still impressed, as Adrián and Harvey Davies pulled off some incredible saves. The pair may not feature often but the talent is there.

The exercise was simple: make one save straight at you before jumping over a small gate. Then make a save to your side before getting across goal to make another.

Caoimhín Kelleher went first and did very well. Then Adrián had a go and his final saw was truly outstanding. The Spaniard somehow tipped the effort onto the post before being assured by a coach that “Yes, the camera’s on!”.

Then came Davies, who needed to get up high to stop the second shot. The young goalkeeper tipped it over the bar in style, while Marcelo Pitaluga said “Love that, Harvey!”.

There were quite a few missing faces in training, it seems. Still, it’s an impressive video as the Reds work on moving the ball between the lines. Liverpool look like they’re in good spirits, too, after an impressive week. The 7-1 win over Rangers, the 1-0 win over Manchester City and then another 1-0 win against West Ham have all transformed things at the club.

The Reds are looking up the table for the first time in a month or so and you can see the optimism at training. Hopefully, that continues to show itself on the pitch, too, as Jurgen Klopp and co. turn the fortunes around.
