WOW 😳 😲 Involved in nearly everything’: Klopp enjoyed ‘sharp’ performance from Liverpool player vs Arsenal

Darwin Nunez earned praise from Jurgen Klopp for his performance against Arsenal on Sunday. The Uruguayan put in an all-action display.

Jurgen Klopp gave a quick review of Darwin Nunez‘s efforts against Arsenal on Sunday. Nunez played 90 minutes for the first time as a Liverpool player and put in a performance to remember.

It was good, it was good,” said Klopp, per Liverpoolfc.com. “Sharp, good, involved in nearly everything, scored a great goal. Good.”

Nunez got Liverpool’s first goal at the Emirates. Good work from Luis Diaz to get in behind saw the Colombian fire the ball across goal. Nunez was waiting, poaching for 1-1 at a time when the Reds needed something.

Klopp applauds Darwin Nunez v Arsenal

Nunez was the one Liverpool player to earn praise after yesterday’s game. Gary Neville and Danny Murphy both picked him out as a highlight and rightfully so.

The striker constantly ran the channels for Liverpool, offering a direct ball essentially every time the Reds had possession. Arsenal just couldn’t cope with that running and it was a game where we saw exactly what Nunez can bring.

Liverpool just need to find a way to get the best out of Nunez and everyone else. For while he was dynamic and involved, Mohamed Salah didn’t have a kick in a dangerous position.

Finding a way to get players buzzing around Nunez, while still allowing him to be as involved as he can be, is the big task for Klopp up top. Nunez is a massive threat who can terrorise defences on his own, but that only gets you so far.

So we’re encouraged, certainly, even in this disjointed Liverpool team. We’ll truly see how good he is once everyone is on the same page, though. It just appears that will take a little bit more time.
