Luis Garcia has praised Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez on Twitter for his goal and performance against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Sunday.
The former Liverpool star was impressed by the way Nunez scored for Jurgen Klopp’s side in the first half against the Gunners.
Garcia believes that it is only a matter of time before the 23-year-old Uruguay international striker becomes a fan favourite at Liverpool.
The former Anfield star has also noted how hard Nunez worked for the Reds against Arsenal.
LUIS GARCIA ON DARWIN NUNEZ FOR LIVERPOOL V ARSENAL
ENCOURAGING
In our view, Darwin Nunez played well for Liverpool against Arsenal, especially in the first half.
The striker is still finding his feet in the Premier League and is not at his clinical best yet.
However, the 23-year-old is working hard and giving his all on the pitch, and that is all you can ask of a player who is in his first season in the Premier League.
Nunez will get better in the coming weeks and months, and Liverpool fans should be patient.
Liverpool are not having the best of times at the moment, and the defeat to Arsenal will come as a bitter disappointment to the fans.
