THE POTENTIAL’: BIG CLAIM MADE ABOUT £49K-A-WEEK ACE LIVERPOOL WANT

Lothar Matthaus has raved about Liverpool and Chelsea transfer target Jude Bellingham in Four Four Two.

The former Bayern Munich and Germany star believes that Bellingham, linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Graham Potter’s Chelsea in the summer of 2023, has the potential to become one of the best midfielders England have ever produced.

The Telegraph reported on Friday that Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City all are interested in signing the 19-year-old England international midfielder in the summer of 2023.

Last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Madrid are also keen on Bellingham and believe that they could secure the services of the former Birmingham City youngster for £88 million.

BIG CLAIM ABOUT LIVERPOOL AND CHELSEA TARGET JUDE BELLINGHAM

Matthaus said about Bellingham: “He’s someone English football fans need to be hugely excited about.

With his mentality, he’s not somebody that needs to be treated as a young player who hopes for a few minutes here and there – he’s a player who should be starting every match.

He’s becoming an important part of the national team and, in my opinion, he has the potential to be one of the best midfielders England have ever produced. I played against some pretty good ones myself and I see those qualities in him.”

TRANSFER BATTLE

In our view, Liverpool and Chelsea could struggle to sign Jude Bellingham ahead of Real Madrid next summer.

If Madrid are really determined to sign the £49,000-a-week (SalarySport) next summer, then they will find a way to get a deal done.

A move to the Santiago Bernabeu and the chance to play for arguably the biggest club in the world could be too tempting to resist for Bellingham.
