REALLY TRANSFORM’: LIVERPOOL URGED TO SIGN £60K-A-WEEK LONDON-BASED ACE

Dietmar Hamann has said on talkSPORT that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool should sign Declan Rice from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

The former Liverpool midfielder believes that Rice could transform the Merseyside club’s team.

Hamann made the comments about the England international midfielder while discussing Liverpool’s need to make their midfield better.

Liverpool were hammered by Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League at Anfield in midweek.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have actually been linked with the £60,000-a-week (Spotrac) England international midfielder.

GiveMeSport reported in January 2023 that Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing the West Ham star in the summer of 2023.

LIVERPOOL TOLD TO SIGN DECLAN RICE FROM WEST HAM UNITED

Hamann said: “I think midfield is the area, and I think what they do need is a holding midfielder.

“I think if you add a holding midfielder in the summer, I look at Declan Rice. I think he’s a player who could really transform the team.”

EXPENSIVE

Now, Liverpool may want to sign Declan Rice, but the West Ham united and England international midfielder would be a very expensive signing for the Reds.

Arsenal have also been linked with the 24-year-old.
