‘PRIDE’: DWAYNE ‘THE ROCK’ JOHNSON HAS MADE A CLAIM ABOUT LIVERPOOL

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood, but which football team does he support?

The eight-time WWE Champion is a huge sports fan, he’s an ex-College Football star and his exploits in Sports Entertainment are also well-documented.

However, there has always been an element of mystery around which football team ‘The Great One’ supports, but now that confusion has been cleared up during an interview with talkSPORT.

Indeed, The Rock claimed that he was a Liverpool supporter during the interview, but we’re not quite convinced about his answer.

WHICH FOOTBALL TEAM DOES THE ROCK SUPPORT?

The Brahma Bull claimed that he’s a Liverpool supporter, although his answer was less than convincing.

“Do you support a team?” The Rock was asked.

“A soccer team?” The ex-wrestler queried.

“Yeah. You know the one, you know the one. The Pride of Cheshire,”

Liverpool?” The host replied.

“Yeah, (Liverpool fan?) Yes”

DOES HE REALLY?

Rocky claims that he supports the Reds, but we have to wonder whether he’d recognise Mohamed Salah if he sat next to him on the bus.

The Fast and Furious star was very coy when asked about Liverpool’s result against Manchester City this weekend, and the fact that he described Liverpool as ‘the pride of Cheshire’ is a bit weird, isn’t it?

The Reds are not from Cheshire, they play in Merseyside, and we think that The Rock may have gotten his teams mixed up.

Indeed, a long old scroll through the megastar’s Twitter shows that he’s previously described Macclesfield as ‘The Pride of Cheshire’.

So does The Rock really support Liverpool? Maybe, but this does seem to be a case of PR work from the Black Adam star as he just goes along with what the interviewer is saying, seemingly forgetting that he’s pledged allegiance to Macclesfield in the past.
