NOT A HAPPY MAN’: COMMENTATOR CLAIMS LIVERPOOL STAR UPSET WITH TEAMMATE

It’s fair to say that Liverpool‘s Alisson wasn’t his best self tonight.

Jurgen Klopp’s side drew 2-2 with Wolves in the third round of the FA Cup at Anfield.

And it was Liverpool who fell behind yet again and this time, it was a howler from Alisson.

The Brazil international, a £66 million signing in 2018, passed the ball straight to Goncalo Guedes who tapped the opener into an empty net.

Shortly after that, Alisson demonstrated a lack of confidence by over-egging a routine pass to Andy Robertson out on the left.

And according to ITV commentator Seb Hutchinson, the Scotland international was upset by the error.

He said live on ITV: “Alisson putting the ball out of play and Robertson….not a happy man at all.”

There’s no doubt that Alisson is still one of the world’s finest goalkeepers, if not the best in the game itself.

But there’s also no denying that he is prone to silly moments which can, and have, cost Liverpool down the years.

Okay so he’s hardly Loris Karius in the mistake department, but having a shaky goalkeeper behind you can affect the defence, too.

In general he had an okay game apart from the opener, and the mis-hit pass for Robertson, but with Liverpool struggling already this season, the last thing they need is one of their best players to suffer a dip in form.
