Liverpool have made a clutch of plans ahead of the January transfer window opens and are set to compete with Premier League rivals for the signings of Jude Bellingham and Ismael Bennacer.
Reds sent Bellingham warning
Borussia Dortmund managing director Carsten Cramer has warned Liverpool they will not be getting a “gift” of a discounted Jude Bellingham.
As quoted by Vietnam News, he said: “We have a high sympathy for Liverpool for sure. We are still in a good relationship with Jurgen and many others at Liverpool, so for me, it’s my preferred club in the EPL as well.
Liverpool could be set to spend big once more in January with Jurgen Klopp aiming to get the Reds back on track.
The Merseyside outfit endured a hugely disappointing first half of the season before the domestic action took a break for the World Cup. In an effort to rise up the table, Liverpool could look to the transfer market with the window set to open in less than a months’ time.
The Reds have never been afraid to spend heavily in January – their acquisition of Colombian winger Luis Diaz from Porto 12 months ago a prime example. A number of players have been linked with following him to Anfield already.
“But don’t expect that we will make gifts to Liverpool.”
Bellingham has been linked with a move to Anfield on numerous occasions in the past.
