LIVERPOOL TRANSFER NEWS: DIRECTOR SAYS KOLO MUANI DECISION STANDS EVEN AT £88M
Eintracht Frankfurt sporting director Markus Krosche confirmed that the club will not sell Liverpool-linked striker, Randal Kolo Muani, even if a £88 million (€100 million) offer comes through the door in January.
In December, TEAMtalk had relayed a story about Jurgen Klopp’s side being ‘seduced’ by the prospect of signing Kolo Muani.
However, Sky Germany had only recently reported that the French forward was feeling ‘comfortable’ at Frankfurt.
Furthermore, Randal Kolo Muani reportedly had ‘no interest’ in leaving the Bundesliga side to join Liverpool or any other interested party.
It was also stated that Kolo Muani was especially impressed by how incredible the fan support was in Germany and considers Eintracht Frankfurt as the perfect club to accelerate his development.
As a result, one can see why sporting director Markus Krosche feels confident enough to keep the player from joining Liverpool.
However, the Reds could do with a prolific marksman like Kolo Muani in their ranks, especially considering Darwin Nunez’s struggles at Anfield.
Randal Kolo Muani, labeled as ‘robust’ by Krosche could have proved to be a natural alternative up front to Nunez at Liverpool, if a transfer came to fruition.
However, it seems as if the Frankfurt sporting director has declined any potential move, and that too at all costs.
EINTRACHT FRANKFURT DIRECTOR SAYS CLUB WILL NOT SELL LIVERPOOL-LINKED KOLO MUANI IN JANUARY EVEN FOR £88 MILLION FEE
Markus Krosche, the sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt has told Sky Germany that the club refuse to sell Liverpool-linked hitman Randal Kolo Muani in January, even if a team pays a whopping £88 million fee.
No [Frankfurt will not sell Kolo Muani for even £88 million in January]”, the sporting director replied in an interview.
“We have made it clear that we do not want to sell any top performers. There is no reason for that. It will stay that way”, he confirmed.
Ultimately, the stance taken by Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting director should ensure that Liverpool that even trying to sign Randal Kolo Muani in January is futile, if such a staggering fee can be rejected.
