Neymar Jr. was once full of praise for Renato Sanches, who PSG may look to reportedly sell, with Liverpool and Newcastle United being ‘kept informed’ about his future.
However, when the Brazilian superstar was in conversation with DAZN when he had nice things to say soon after the £15 million (GOAL) man signed for the Parisians.
As Renato Sanches has been linked with a summer transfer to both Liverpool and Newcastle United, we decided to revisit the comments from Neymar.
While Sanches has shown at Lille, as well as at international level that his abilities as a box-to-box midfielder would make him an asset in several sides, injuries have had other plans in store for him.
Now that Liverpool and Tottenham may have a chance of signing Renato Sanches, who could also redeem himself in the most watched league in the world, it seems he has always had the seal of approval from Neymar.
“A player who’s with us now: Renato Sanches. He’s very different as a player and a very good one. We’re lucky to have him with us now here, so we’re better now”, he said in September last year.
IN OUR VIEW: BOTH CLUBS SHOULD AVOID SIGNING RENATO SANCHES
Labeled as ‘special’ by Newcastle defender Sven Botman, there is logic behind why Renato Sanches is now being targeted by them and Liverpool.
But it’s simple; Sanches is almost guaranteed never to be fit for a full season, starting just 20 league games last season as well.
As talented as the Euro 2020 winner is, signing him would be asking for instability in midfield.
