Liverpool loanee who can ‘go as far as he wants’ has three goals and three assists already this season

Liverpool’s Conor Bradley scores against for Bolton Wanderers as he continues his fantastic season. The Reds have a player here.

Liverpool opted not to keep Conor Bradley around this season, instead sending him off to League One. He’s at Bolton Wanderers, playing as an aggressive right-wingback in their 3-4-3.

And it’s safe to say he’s thriving. Bradley both scored and assisted this weekend in a 3-1 win against Charlton Athletic. That’s now three goals and three assists already this season – and he’s playing wingback.

It certainly looks as though this was exactly the kind of loan Bradley needed. He’s playing senior football against experienced players – but isn’t struggling for games in the Championship or finding himself in and out of the lineup.

Bradley is getting a proper go of it this season. He’ll return to Liverpool a far better player for it, too, having added the senior experience he sorely lacked.

And that should put him in good stead to fight for a place at Liverpool. He’ll be hoping to move ahead of Calvin Ramsay next summer, a player who arrived this year but is yet to feature through injury. The Scot needs to impress because Bradley is absolutely coming for his position.

Bolton’s Dion Charles feels his temporary teammate can make it to the top, too. He says Bradley can go as far as he wants in the game.

“I told the gaffer we should definitely try and sign him, he can go as far as he wants that kid,” he told the Manchester Evening News. “He is a top lad and he has got the character where he works hard every day to get better. He has all the tools, he is grounded as well, great around the dressing room – he will go far.”

With the form Bradley’s showing with his first few games as a senior regular, we’d say Charles has hit the nail on the head.
