KLOPP HAS JUST BEEN TOLD TO AXE £36M LIVERPOOL PLAYER FOR HIS ‘OWN GOOD

Without regular Mohamed Salah goals, Liverpool are struggling in a massive way.

The Reds’ attacker has only managed to score three times from open play this season, culminating in Jurgen Klopp’s side being 14 points off the top of the Premier League standings and we’re only in October.

Salah’s slump is uncharacteristic from a player who’s lit up English and European football since joining Liverpool in a £36 million deal five years ago [The Guardian].

And John Aldridge has told The Echo that Klopp simply must drop the Egypt international for his ‘own good’.

He said: “I’m one of Mo Salah’s biggest fans but he needs to be dropped. He needs to be left out because he’s not doing himself justice and he’s not doing the team justice. It doesn’t matter whether you’re Mo Salah, Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. At that stage you’ve got to be left out for your own good.”

CAN LIVERPOOL DROP MOHAMED SALAH?

In a word, no.

Firstly, it’s beneficial to let Salah find his own way because dropping him to the bench is likely to only harm his confidence levels further.

And secondly, Luis Diaz has been ruled out until December with an injury sustained against Arsenal this past weekend.

Diogo Jota will have to cover the Colombia international, making it even more important that Salah continues on the right-hand side of attack.

There’s no doubt the player is struggling, but form is temporary and class is permanent.

How many times has this adage been proven true? And hopefully for Liverpool, Salah will prove it again shortly.
