JOSKO GVARDIOL OUTLINES RB LEIPZIG PLAN AMID LIVERPOOL INTEREST

Josko Gvardiol has said that he will stay at RB Leipzig amid reported interest from Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, as relayed by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.

NO LIVERPOOL TRANSFER FOR JOSKO GVARDIOL IN JANUARY

The well-known and well-respected journalist has relayed quotes from Gvardiol saying that he will stay at Leipzig beyond the January transfer window.

Gvardiol told SkyGermany: “My plan is that I stay here. I think everyone has seen Max Eberl’s statement. I’m okay with that.”

90min reported on December 19, 2022 that Liverpool have expressed interest in signing the 20-year-old Croatia international centre-back.

The report added that Chelsea, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the youngster, who starred at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

NOT A SURPRISE

We are not surprised at all that Josko Gvardiol will stay at RB Leipzig for the rest of the season despite interest from Liverpool and Chelsea among other clubs.

After all, Leipzig are a big club in Germany who are aiming to win the Bundesliga title this season.

They will surely not sell one of their best players in the middle of the season.

Liverpool will have to wait until the end of the season to sign Gvardiol.

However, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners will have to pay a lot of money in transfer fees and will also have to compete with a number of clubs
