DEFINITELY: ENRIQUE REACTS TO SEEING THE ‘TOP SIGNING’ FSG COULD BRING TO LIVERPOOL

Everyone knows Liverpool need new midfielders.

Yes, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is fit again and impressing in Jurgen Klopp’s XI, but Naby Keita is as injury prone as they come, Fabinho is seemingly broken this season, and Thiago and Jordan Henderson are both over 30.

Indeed, Liverpool need to revamp this area of the squad.

One player the Reds are heavily linked to signing is Moises Caicedo of Brighton & Hove Albion.

According to Goal, Liverpool are confident that the Seagulls will sell their £50 million-rated midfielder in January.

Problem is, Chelsea are now reportedly keen as well.

And Jose Enrique, the former left-back at Anfield, has said although Caicedo would represent a ‘top signing’, he doesn’t believe FSG will spend the money needed to stave off Chelsea.

He wrote on Instagram:

MOISES CAICEDO TO LIVERPOOL?

Well, it absolutely makes a tonne of sense.

Remember, Liverpool’s midfield options are either aging, injury prone or, in Oxlade-Chamberlain’s case, just below the standard needed to make Klopp’s side great again – oh, and he’s a tad prone to fitness problems too.

Someone like Caicedo is hardened to the Premier League and no doubt he’d be a wonderful addition.

But again, are Liverpool going to cough up £50 million? Time will tell.
